Objective
This book aims to provide researchers and practitioners an introductory overview on some recent developments on temporal mining and discuss the challenges and common tasks that need to be addressed in practical applications. We will have chapters that:
· Introduce the basic methods on temporal data mining
· Provide an overview on recent developments on temporal data mining
· Discuss the aforementioned technical challenges in mining temporal data.
· Present the different application case studies on temporal data mining
Tentative Contents
Topics include but will not limit to:
Submission Details
The chapter proposal should consist of an extended abstract
of about two pages (maximum) and a list of contents of the proposed chapter. The
proposal should be sent via email to
taoli@cs.fiu.edu or perng@us.ibm.com.
Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by July 21, 2006. Full chapters
are expected to be submitted by November 31, 2006. All submitted chapters will
be reviewed through a blind reviewing process.
Important Dates
Submission of book chapter proposals: Oct. 14, 2006
Notification of proposal acceptance: Dec 1, 2006
Submission of full chapters: March 31, 2007
Notification of chapter revision: April 31, 2007
Submission of the final version of book chapters: June 1, 2007
